THAILAND Time is pushing, we want to find Sandra and Axel for the festive days. We follow their trail up to Krabi, Ao Nang and finally discover that they are already north of Phuket on the westcoast. On a hidden place with a nice beach around the corner of the princess residence we get found by a swiss couple which also travel with their own campervan. We carry on our search and we found them and aswell we found the best surf waves we saw so far in asia. There we can`t stay long and as well Sandra and Axel need to go to Chumpon to pick up their mail. We can`t decide where to go. Around Ranong there is only mangroves and on the eastcoast is still monsun time. Nevertheless we go to the eastcoast and discover a nice spot at a little lonely bay. We empty out Jabbawouk, the boys built again a sunroof, a windowframe in front the washing table. With the help from Tokyo we built a bamboo plattform into the water. We are chilling out. Celebrate a great christmas (Photo T 5: merry christmas from thailand) Not far is a village to do some shopping and sometimes people come and visit us. The weather is fine, just two days after christmas monsun was starting again with lots of rain. After we go on past Hua Hin and other areas which are dominated by hotelbunkers. We are going direction Bangkok but taking a left to Kanchanaburi where we visited the tiger temple (we read about it in a magazin). It was very exciting. Quite a few years ago the headmonk got given a badly hurt tigerbaby which had been found on the burmese border. By now he got seven tigers which the monks take on a walk in a little canyon dayly. Some tourist come to get their tigerphotos taken, with sweat of fear on their forehead. We were the only one who showed up in the morning and so we got a privat audience with a tiger. (Photo T 6 + 7: moni and kolja tigering) Tokyos favorite was not the tiger but Johnny the monkeys gibbon. He was very handsome and loved to be padded gently and he liked to kiss Tokyo on the neck (Photo T 8: Johnny). |
