AUSTRALIA

In September 2001 we came back to Melbourne and finally to Alice Springs, Jeremy, Kath and Moss came up from Coober Pedy and said hello (Photo OZ 5: Welcome to Australia).

The northern bit of the Stuart Highway wasn't very exciting until we could enjoy the hot springs in Mataranka (Photo OZ 6: Moni and Tokyo swimming in the hot springs of Mataranka).

On our way to Darwin we visited Kakadu Nationalpark, on the way back Litchfield, Umbawarra and other springs and waterfalls, before moving on west to the Kimberleys . It was very hot in the built-up (Photo OZ 7: ) .

In spite of this wonderful landscape (Photo OZ 7: Kimberleys) we loved to see the western coastline, bathing and snorkeling and finally finding some surf (Photo OZ 9: Running the sanddune) . Next to Broome we stayed a few days in our hammock, long walks along the beach and met again our travelfamily the Fogarty`s. An excursion to the Karijini Nationalpark gave us imaginations which were really powerfull aswell the roadtrain, which crossed our way and destroyed our frontwindow.
